1. Introduction & acceptance
Welcome to Malik Nails & Beauty. By creating an account, placing an order in our online shop, booking a service, or otherwise using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) and our practices described below. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the site or book our services.
These Terms apply alongside any service-specific policies we make available in writing (for example a deposit policy or a home service quote). Where there is a conflict, the more specific policy shared with you in writing controls.
2. Definitions
- “Studio”, “we”, “us” – Malik Nails & Beauty and its authorised staff.
- “Customer”, “you” – the person creating an account, placing an order, or booking a service.
- “Service” – any salon or beauty treatment we offer (in-studio or home service).
- “Product” – any item listed in our online shop and available for purchase.
- “Booking” – a scheduled appointment for one or more Services on a specific date and time.
3. Account & signup
You may browse the storefront without an account. To place an order, manage a booking, or save your details, we ask you to create an account.
- Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account.
- Accurate information. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information at signup and to keep it up to date. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts with knowingly false details.
- Password security. You are responsible for safeguarding your password. Do not share login credentials. Notify us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
- Suspension & deletion. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or engages in abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe behaviour. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
4. Online shop & delivery
- Order acceptance. Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your order only when we confirm dispatch (or pickup readiness). Until then we may decline an order, for example because of pricing errors, payment issues, or unavailable stock.
- Payment. Orders are payable in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless we state otherwise in writing. Bank transfer details are shown at checkout; we reserve the right to add other payment methods.
- Stock availability. Product availability is shown on each product page. Listing a Product is not a guarantee that it is in stock; we will reach out promptly if an item becomes unavailable after you order.
- Delivery & pickup. Delivery is currently arranged manually (e.g. via a courier such as GIG Logistics). Delivery cost is confirmed after checkout based on your destination. Pickup, when available, will be confirmed by our team.
- Loss or damage in transit. Please inspect packages on arrival. If a parcel arrives damaged or items are missing, contact us within 48 hours so we can help resolve it with the courier.
- Returns. Unopened items in their original packaging may be returned within 14 days of receipt. Used or opened beauty items are non-returnable for hygiene reasons, unless they are faulty. We may request photos or a video to process a return.
5. Bookings & services
Note. The detailed booking terms below are an interim working version and will be finalised by Malik Nails & Beauty. Once the studio shares the official booking policy, this section will be updated to match.
- Booking confirmation. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation message from us. Tentative requests are not guaranteed slots.
- Deposit. Selected services may require a refundable or part-refundable deposit. The deposit amount is shown at the time of booking and goes towards the final bill.
- Cancellation & rescheduling. Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. Late cancellations may forfeit the deposit; we will always communicate this clearly in advance.
- No-show. If you do not arrive for a confirmed appointment without notice, the deposit may be retained and future bookings may require full prepayment.
- Late arrival. If you are running late, please let us know. We will hold the slot where possible; significant delays may shorten your service or be rescheduled at our discretion.
- Home service. Final pricing for home service appointments is confirmed at booking and depends on the service, your location, travel time, and parking. Home service is by prior appointment only — no walk-ins.
- Health & safety. Please tell us in advance about allergies, skin conditions, or medical concerns. We may decline a service or recommend a patch test in the interest of your safety.
6. Payments, deposits, refunds
- Currency. All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless we state otherwise.
- Deposits. Where a deposit is required, it is collected at booking and credited to your final bill. Refunds of deposits depend on the cancellation policy that applied at the time of booking.
- Refunds. Refunds, where due, are processed to the original payment method or via bank transfer within a reasonable time after we agree the refund.
- Failed or disputed payments. We may pause an order or booking while we investigate payment disputes or suspected fraud.
7. Pricing & availability
We try to keep prices and availability accurate, but errors can happen. If we discover a pricing error after you order, we will contact you with the correct price and let you decide whether to continue or cancel. Promotional offers may be limited in time or quantity and are subject to specific terms communicated at the point of sale.
8. Acceptable use
When using the site you agree not to:
- Submit false or fraudulent payment or identity details.
- Interfere with the operation of the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or probe for security weaknesses.
- Scrape, copy, or reuse our content, photos, or product data for commercial purposes without written permission.
- Post abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content (including in reviews).
9. Intellectual property
The Malik Nails & Beauty brand, logos, photography, copy, and site design are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission. Reviews and content you submit remain yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on our site and marketing channels.
10. Liability & disclaimer
We work hard to deliver consistent, high-quality services and products. To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- The site, products, and services are provided “as is” without implied warranties of any specific outcome.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings, data, or business arising from your use of the site or services.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts, unless local consumer protection laws say otherwise.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
